A Counterculture Icon: How Emory's Story Came To Be Told
In January 2011, Emory Walden, one of the most notorious political dissidents hunted by authorities throughout the District of Columbia disappeared. Half a year later, James (that's me), an old high school friend received a letter. The letter was from Emory.
James would later publish Discontents for Emory - and thus this site was born. Discontents is Emory’s riveting first-hand account that puts to rest the speculation surrounding his disappearance. In it, we see a rare account of a man struggling against amnesia to uncover the nebulous forces that sought to bring him down.
FAQ
Is there going to be a hard copy?
Not in the foreseeable future. But don't worry. You don't need an e-book reader like a Nook or Kindle, Sony's Reader or an iPad. There are many free e-reader applications for PCs and Macs, as well as for iPhones, Blackberry's and Androids including Amazon's and BarnesandNoble's. You don't need to get a mainstream app if you don't want to create an account with Amazon, BarnesandNoble, etc. Two popular free e-readers are Mobipocket (which has PC and mobile device versions) and the open-source Calibre (PC, Mac, Linux).
Which format should I buy?
That depends on what e-reader you are going to use. Most people will buy the e-book for the e-reader they already own, such as a Kindle. If you don't own a specific e-reader you are buying for, you want to buy the EPUB version.
